Karr’s Kustom Kartz derived from the family business, Karr’s Golf Carts, which has been in business for nearly 20 years. Bill and Scott Karr, the father and son team, started Karr’s Golf Carts as a part-time endeavor in 1988. Bill Karr, passionate about his favorite past-time, wanted to be involved in the golf industry. Having been a mechanic all his life, Bill opted to open a golf cart business with assistance of his then high school aged son, Scott. The business has grown from its original inventory of two new Columbia Par Car golf carts to what is now one of the Midwest’s largest golf cart dealers. Karr’s Golf Carts is the authorized dealer for Club Car, Yamaha, and Fairplay golf carts. Karr’s also carries both Club Car and Yamaha Utility vehicles.

Scott’s involvement in the family business, along with his foresight and ingenuity allowed him to see the many potential utilizations of a golf cart besides playing golf. Scott built one of the area’s first customized-lifted golf carts as a freshman in college. People soon took notice. Always having the taste and inspiration to make things bigger and/or better Scott started Karr’s Kustom Kartz in 2005. The increased demand for specialized carts continues as sporting clay competitors, lake resort home owners, land owners, and golfers find homes for these one of a kind carts.
